The Family Equality Council (formerly Family Pride) is the national advocacy organization
committed to securing family equality for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer
parents, guardians and allies. Our work consists of strategically linked initiatives—broad in
scope, but simple in vision—love, justice, family, equality.
TransFamily
Cleveland, Ohio
TransFamily is a support group for transgendered and transsexual people, their parents,
partners, children, other family members, friends, and supportive others. We provide
referrals, literature, and over-the-phone information on all transgender issues. Although
our meetings are held in Cleveland, Ohio, the Internet has enabled us to extend helping
hands to transgendered individuals and their families across the globe.
TransParentcy
TransParentcy's mission is to support the Transgender Parent, and their advocates
(lawyers, mental health professionals, friends, family) by providing information and
resources to diffuse and/or dispel the myths about any adverse impact being
transgendered/transsexual might have on one's children.
